Yvonne, If I could type at your speed it would take me 80 days to input mine. I just checked on another line and that has entered all the generations so it looks like I will have to try all over again. Boo hoo hoo........ : (

I tried to import my Gedcom file last week but kept hitting problems, so seeing as I was off work all week on holiday, I deleted the whole tree on Genes and inputted everyone back in. The whole process of trying to import my gedcom file was cracking me up. it only took 4 days to input my information as I am a typist anyway so was quite pleased with myself. Regards Yvonne

Lots of people have been reimporting their trees recently. Put Adam or William the Conqueror as a fictitious ancestor, then check your name summary to see any new imports. By the way - how thick is this? - I've only just realised that there are no fields for burial info. So little useful info comes across from a gedcom: do you think GR are trying to discourage the practice?

I have just checked on 'Name Summary' and the earlier names are not in my Tree. So, before I go through the rigmarole of uploading again, can anyone tell me if they have managed to successfully import more than 10 generations?

It seems to me that the new layout will only accomodate 10 generations. Has anyone else found this or is it just amnother glitch in my importation of my Tree?
