yup - as Paul says we are going to one on sunday - she is keeping up with my gt x 6 grandparents who did the same in 1721 lol will be different |

Oh, I've said this before, but...... Friend's ancestor was bachelor, husband, new father and widower all within 24 hours....... However, I THINK the bap of the baby didn't take place until after the burial of the baby's mother, so can't beat your events - this hubby must have been too shocked to cope with a bap as well as everything else...... Read this a few days ago and low & behold in todays local paper 'couple have double ceremony' baptised their baby during the marriage service. |

For decency, the marriage was 28th January 1843 and the baptism on the 29th. The vicar recorded the child as illegitimate, so with that experience behind them, the parents recorded the child's birth as William Broomfield Broomfield. |

One of my sets of gggrandparents were married 3 weeks after their first child was born so it's a possibility. |

Hi Giles Yes, John and I got married and christened Brendan on the same day. Apparently it was the first time in our church, but it set a precedence and more people have started doing it since!! We christened Brendan first, then after we had signed the marriage register we all came back down the aisle together. Dianne xx |
