Leeds Newspapers - any online?

I need a copy of a Leeds newspaper for January 8th 1960. Any idea if I can access one online? Is there a website? Or a snailmail address? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Margaret

Thanks for that Vikki. I had a quick look on there -- there doesn't seem to be anything for 1960. Maybe I can try a different area, instead of Leeds. Margaret (Sorry about the delay in answering -- time difference etc.)

You can also look at thisisleeds.com it's the site used by the Yorkshire Evening Post which has a daily Leeds Edition. You can purchase past copies.

Hello Margaret, Most Saturdays I visit the Leeds Library, which holds Microfilm copies of all Leeds evening post and copies of the Yorkshire daily post newspapers. If you have a specific item you need copying I would be more than pleased to help you. Once I have the copy I could scan the section and email it to you. Let me know if I can help.
