Has anyone ever used this site for viewing census transcripts? They seem to have a lot of information, including Occupations, but it's not clear if you can view each household?

It's part of the S&N group of companies, why not try a phone call. Their number is 01722 716121 Best wishes Ron www.genealogyprinters(.)com

If you type in The Genealogist in the Search box above you will find 3 threads on this board and 2 on Records board which should help you K PS I joined for BMD and Census initially but because I found out straight away that they had no census for Parts of Suffolk and Norfolk that I was interested in and because I got back to them within the hour they refunded my suscription for the census part.

I think this is the answer to your question. Added by Pauline in Sowerby Bridge on 12/02/2004 15:15:15 What we all should remember is that what is offered (at 5quid/90 days) is a subscription to the index, not the census itself. So, you don't pick up in-laws, visitors, grandchildren, servants (as if!) whose surnames are different. You still need to look at the census page itself. Though I wouldn't be at all surprised if those got offered on pay-per-view at some later stage. Hope this helps, It was answered in 2002 so don't know if it's been updated to view images yet K

Just to add that I like this site for census records that don't come with an index, it has been invaluable in helping me find my lot from the London 1851, which I would never have been able to go through otherwise. It does only give references to folio no.s though so is only useful if you already hold the discs I guess. Sarah
