I am trying to find out how to scan a photo to someone. My printer is a Lexmark X/75 and I am Windows XP I will need a step by step account. As I am a bit lacking in the 'computer department' lol Anyone willing to help please? Thanks a lot Linda |

place the photo on the scanner bed press the 'scan' button the top of the printer once scanned, a window will pop up - click scan now another window will appear showing you the progress - once complete the picture image will appear - click 'file - save as' and save it were ever you desire |

Hi Linda I don't know anything about your printer, but try opening the picture from where you saved it. (If you double click it, it with luck it should open in Microsoft Photo Editor). After it opens try resaving it by going to 'file save as' and choose 'jpeg' as the type of file. Use the jpeg saved file to attach to your email. You can use microsoft editor to reduce the size of your picture too, to make your file smaller to send by email. I hope this might help - or that you've already solved the problem! Heather |
