i am trying to find when a john rigby died. he is my friends great grandfather. she now lives in usa and i am helping her trace her family.i have found him in the 1881/91/1901 census but dont know when or where he died. see below for info thanks linda x

1901 census residence 6 findlay street leigh lancashire JOHN RIGBY 46 head married born wigan lancs - checker weighman at above ground colliery ELIZABETH ANN RIGBY 34 wife born bolton lancs JAMES RIGBY 8 son born leigh lancs FRED HUNTER 22 son in law married born leigh lancs - surface labourer at a colliery ANN HUNTER 23 daghter married born leigh lancs - cotton mover THOMAS MORRIS 34 b-in-law single born bolton lancs - collier helper JOHN RIGBY is the person who's death we are searching for. we know elizabeth was his second wife from previous census searches. alos john gives his place of birth as hindley green lancashire wich is part of wigan we know that my friends grandfather JAMES RIGBY said he worked at a colliery with his father JOHN RIGBY when he was about 16/17 ish and then he died - JOHN RIGBY that is . elizabeth, james and fredrick emigrated to usa in 1909 so it must have been before then. any help would be great love linda x x

I'm trying to check on 1837online but the site is playing up at the moment. Thought it might be in Leigh district as that is where they seemed to have lived for a long time - kids give this as birthplace. Kath. x
