I have added this family to my tree did I do right. My Grandmother Mary Ann Duffy (1863). Parents James and Catherine. Can't find James and Catherines marriage. Found a James Duffy living in same household as Catherine Mc Call in 1861. Only 2 Catherines in town right age. Mc Call living next door in 71/81. Aso church records though no marriage(their records didn't go back far enough sadly a year off) have all of James and Catherines children baptisms. Out of 7 children Margaret Mc Call Catherine Mc Call sister is God mother and her husband in God father to another. On one census it has Catherine Duffy born Tyrone and on the same census next door some of the Mc Call's born Tyrone. Can't find Mary Ann's birth reg. to get cert. or a marriage (for the Duffy's) reg, (on any BMd site). Germaine x

I think the circumstatial evidence is good, and you have it right. Keep looking for the marriage and birth certs though! Good luck Joan

Thanks for the reasurance. I think I found one of the siblings on BMD may be worth sending for that and seeing if mothers maiden name is on. As for Marriage wondering if perhaps the church hadn't actually been built so will have to trawl through the parish reg for areas about here. I know they aren't on the Parish Church records but I do know they were RC so will see which other RC church was nearest at the time. Hope they turn up somewhere. Thanks again Germaine x
