Hi, if anybody has good deciphering skills, could they have a quick look at this for me please, and tell me what they think it is: 1861 England Census: David Edwards, head, married, 48, Wales. Address: 22 York Street, Chorlton on Medlock, Manchester. The bit I am stuck on is his occupation! I know what I WANT it to say, but it also looks like something else! Thanks and best wishes in advance.

Thank you fall for looking! I thought it said this myself, but I WANTED it to say bread maker!! If I looked sideways hard enough, I almost could!! Then, I thought maybe I could make it say crumb maker (lol). I am really looking for an Evan Edwards, bread baker, who in 1861 was in Strangeways Prison (naughty). His wife was Ann Edwards, born in Ireland. Living with this David Edwards (on the next page) was an Ann Edwards (obviously daughter in law, even though it says daughter, as she is married and they have an Ann, daughter, unmarried, living with them. This would have made things tie in nicely if he was a bread maker (family tradition and all that) but never mind, thank you all so much for looking. Best wishes, Carol.
