Which one was her maiden name?

I have a birth certificate where the mother is listed as the following: Martha Lambert Late Duclos Formerly Eardley I'm guessing she had been married before but can't decided which was first married name and which was maiden. Can any of you old hands tell me?? Thanks Sarah

I wouldsay Eardley was her maiden name. Ann Glos

The others are correct. The 'formerly' name is always the maiden name. The 'late' name is her previous married name. I rang up the GRO to ask when I had a birth certificate with similar information. Kath. x

Hi Sarah Eardley would be her maiden name and Duclos her married name before she became a Lambert! Lib
