Hi people Have just renewed - had to really think about it, but decided I just won't be able to proceed with my tree without the help of all you good kind people on here - so to anyone who's helped me, a big thank you! Now the questions: Whats the best way to store certificates? I currently have mine in plastic punched pockeds, but seem to remember reading something on here saying that might not be such a good idea. Can SKS give me the URL of the Canadian children site? The one for the British orphans who were sent over there? Thanks again Lisa |

storage- depends on how much you value them. If they are old originals then no, plastic wallets are not a good idea. I only have new copies fron GRO so am not too bothered so keep mine in a foolcap cardboard wallet, kept flat in a drawer. i think you can buy from specialist suppliers special wallets which keep them in tip top condition jess |

I keep my certs in acid-free pockets from WH Smith. I think they will last my lifetime - after that things will probably be very different - you may well be able to view certs online whenever you want. But I was reading in a genealogy magazine that the best way is either in polyester or polysomething else wallets. There are lots of genealogy suppliers who do this - google genealogy supplies to find out. Back in a minute with the Canada info. Nell |

Lisa I think this is it, but if not, just put 'Canada' into the search box on the message board and you will probably find the right one in a thread. www*collectionscanada*ca/archivianet/020110_e.html replace * with . nell |

Lisa Forgot to say - glad you renewed. I think after all the problems on this site this past year a lot of us are having to think hard about whether or not to renew. Nell |
