I have an entry from an 1890s book of Memorials from St Michael's Churchyard for my great & great great grandfathers in 1850s. Does anyone from the area know if there is any likleyhood of the grave stones still being there? Thanks, Cath.

Can't help specifically but if you google 'St Michael's churchyard Dumfries' there are sites with pictures. nell

Thankyou both for your replies. I think I've probably seen all the web sites but Irene, I think I must have had a 'senior moment' - I didn't think of emailing the cemetery. I was just so excited at having got the monumental inscriptions. Cath.
