Puzzled by marriage cert

Just received grandfathers marriage cert, he was born in Sweden but married over here. Anyway, where his fathers name is entered on the cert, it has (4) next to it. What does this mean? Just outside the lines it says 'four wish'. This is on the plain bit of cert at the edge of the paper that isn't normally written on. Anyone have a clue? |

Generally a number like that refers to an amendment which is usually noted in a margin. But I don't understand the wish bit. Nell |

If you ring up wherever you ordered the certificate from, they should be able to give you an explanation. I would imagine it is an amendment that has been made. Kath. x |
