Hi Is the only way to find pre: 1837 births is to go to the records office in the county they were born other than IGI. Thank you Margaret |

You could go to an LDS Family History Centre if you have one near you (there's a list of addresses on their website) and order the parish records for the place you need. It costs a couple of pounds and when the film arrives they keep it at your local office for about a month to give you time to look through it. Kath. x |

Some family history societies have transcripts of baptism registers. Some are online at www family history online com [put . in the spaces] The Society of Genealogists has a large collection of baptism registers, but you have to pay to use the library and get to London too! nell |
