Yippee - thanks for that. I usually use Ancestry, now, but it's useful to know about FreeBMD. There'll be some info there which won't have reached Ancestry yet; the coverage charts are, indeed, useful; and being able to search in a more specific way can make a difference. Christine

I've just tried to look at the charts and there is a server problem. It says that normal service will be resumed on 15 July!! As it's now 27 July, what the heck is going on?? Lynne
