Hi , Can anybody tell me how much it will cost me to find my Grandads Death as will after look 1935- 1940 and where is the best place to look regards June |

THE ONLY PLACE to look is the GRO death indexes. You can look online on www 1837online com, which will charge a minimum of £5 for units, you use units for each page you check - 4 quarters to each year, so minimum of 4 pages for each year, hope grandfather wasn't called Smith! Or you can look on microfiche of the indexes, free at various libraries and records offices. Alternatively if you have a good idea WHERE he died you can ask the relevant local register office if they can find it. If you know where he was buried or cremated, the cemetery/crematorium records would have details. nell |
