Hi there. I am trying to locate the birth of Peter Nelson Stewart. He was born about 1852 His mum was called Agnes Parker and his dad would have been Peter Nelson. Born Anstruther Easter. He may be registered as Peter Parker because Agnes called off the wedding. The first Banns were read and the second and third were called off with the 'consent of the woman' Did he do a runner ??? Agnes then went on to Marry Andrew Stewart from Haddingtonand did not have any more children Any help would be grateful and this is a very big brick wall!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Yvonne

Where was he born? Is it Scotland??

Have you found Peter on any other documentation - censuses, marriage certs, death cert etc? If so, what was the date and how was his surname given? nell

Just re-read your message - Anstruther Easter is in SCOTLAND, so I can't help. I assume you've tried ScotlandsPeople site? Please put Scotland in your thread title, so people who have access to Scottish records can help you. nell

I'm in the same boat as Nell. Only have records for England & Wales. Would be a good idea to put Scotland in your title, so people know where to look.

yvonne , i have just had a look at scotland' s people and no birth for peter -parker-stewart or nelson in anstruther easter between 1845-1854 or between 1855-1860 catherine
