HELP LOST MY TREE!!!!! Please assist me! I have tried umpteen times to import my gedcom file, from PAF. I exported my gedcom file from GR to update it and then tried to bring it back!!!!! It won't. After I had deleted my tree as instructions state. Please help as most of my information has come from gr members in boards and contacting other members and searches for matches. Shame I can't access my tree anymore. Don't know what to do as I have over 300 people in my tree and can't retype them all in again!!!!!!! Judith

Help please!!! Getting very worried now!! I can't find any email from genes as it says during upload that I would receive an email. I have waited nearly a week!!!!!! Do I try the whole process again????

Don't worry, It is a known problem. I had an email from GR on Friday asking me to email my Tree to someone at FriendsReunited and he would import it for me. Needless to say, I am still waiting.

Hi guys after reading other topics regarding this I am losing faith faster!!! I was being patient thinking it was because there was a lot of data to import but then thought no others would have more than me!! Then when I read it was a technical problem I thought - well there would be when I try to do something technical!!! Then I thought chill all is not lost I still have my tree on PAF!! but thats not the point I share my tree on this site and if any of my contacts need to verify info then they can't!!! grr Judith

Well after reading all the posts on this board regarding this same problem I have sent GR the following message Please read all boards regarding import. Maybe then you would like to enlighten us on the problem as I fear you may lose members. I have recommended this site to fellow students of fam hist courses and they are all subscribing after I reassured them that they wouldn't have to input all their data again and that they could upload their PAF files or similar. I also share my tree with other subscribers and always found this site helpful but losing faith at the moment. I started FH with this site by building my tree on here alone but after internet problems I exported my tree to PAF so I could work offline. After increasing the numbers in my tree from 250+ to 300+ I want to bring the updated tree back. I deleted my tree as instructed (WISH I HADN'T NOW) and have waited over a week. But still my tree (twig) just has me in it!! PLEASE HELP US WITH THIS. Hope this helps us all. Truelly sick now!!! Judith
