Where in the World was he ? End of Line ? From Birth Certificate-1876 Lambeth Sub District Brixton Entry-325 Place--Ninth December 1875-156 Stockwell Park Road Name-Hermann Christian LAWRENCE Sex-Boy Father-Hermann Christian LAWRENCE Mother-Evalina Lawrence formerly WOODS Occupation-Paper Stock Merchant Signature-Descr,--H C Lawrence Father 156 Park Road Reg. 19 Jan 1876 OK-I have full information re Mother and Child-she married John Archer in 1880[as a spinster and the child then took the name Hermann Woods ARCHER--In 1871 she was an unmarried Servant in Denmark Hill Lambeth It is believed the father Hermann Christian LAWRENCE was a visiting Austrian/German--i have not found him in the UK in 1871 or 1881-or in fact anywhere else -All information/suggestions gratefully received. Yes i know there was a Confectioner -Hermann Lorenz [German] and family on 1881 census-i have no idea if they were connected. |
