Do you mean census's? Births Mariages and deaths are registered from 1837

Could you give an idea of whereabouts in the country your rellies were living, as it can make a difference as to resources! Sarah

Im really looking in the Newcastle/Durham areas as that appears to be my main source.

There are censuses back to 1841 for most of those areas. Try durhamrecordsonline. If these don't help, then you'll probably have to get the parish records.

For parish records you can either A) go to the records office for that particular area (cost of travel), or B) ask at your local LDS centre for them to get you the film/fiche that contains the records (they charge a small fee)

Robyne Most towns have an LDS Family History Centre. Look on their website for your nearest one. Then look in 'Library' to find out what films they have for the area you are interested in. You can order them for a small fee (£2.70 I think) and then go to the LDS FHC to view them Hope this helps. Olde Crone
