when u hit a brick wall? i have not done anything on my tree for months my mind as gone blank and i just cant get back into it |

Move on to a different branch of my tree - forget the brick wall for a while. Or post a problem here and see if anyone has any ldeas! Sarah |

I go and work on a different bit of the ancestral chart - or play with other people's puzzles on here! Eventually something seems to turn up - either a site is updated with new info, or someone here comes up with a new site, or you glance back at your notes and records and make a connection you hadn't noticed before, or some member of the family digs out an old record or memory you didn't know was there to draw on, or... Dig at another bit of the wall. I was at a dead end with my great grandmother, then I posted a request and someone on here found her first marriage, now waiting for the certificate. |
