Thanks Christine and everyone else, they seem to have been all over the place including going to New Foundland and back, I wanted to order a cert but think it will be too hard to know where to start with this one.

Thanks Sam, I kinda thought it was a long way. I am sure it is the right lot, but the Middlesex/Shifnal one only made two census and it is hard to decide.

Well them two are MILES apart!! (at least 250 anyway!) Although my Great Grandmother was born in Burton upon Trent, Staffs and on all censuses gives this as her place of birth - until 1901 when she is married and living in Stoke on Trent, she gives Stoke on Trent as her place of birth! Took me a while to get further back with that one and I know Burton on Trent and Stoke on Trent are at least in the same county but it shows how people 'forget' where they were born (or just fib!)
