If I'm reading this right, I think Ann's concern is that on her surnames list there is an Ian, who has posted an interest in Ann's family, her adopted names and also her husband's family. I would have thought that with all those name matches, he would be keen to correspond. If not, why not? On the other hand we may not have any idea of the first names of people with an interest in our surnames, even though their interest is genuine. Just this week I have been contacted by someone with a definite interest in one of my surnames and we have a common ancestor but as she is a 4th generation descendant and I'm a 3rd, we can't possibly know all the links. |

Ann, how can anyone add themselves to your tree? HE CANT DO THAT!!anymore than I can add myself to your tree. Does he have a tree that shares the same names as you..is that what you mean? If there is an Ian in your tree it is because you, or someone with access to your computer has added him Jess |
