You need to buy some credits for site called Scotlands people if you think he was born in Scotland. Then look for his birth in the year he was born , or if towards the end of the year may have been registered in the jan/feb/march of the next year if you think it was England, then 1831 on line is the site you want. You know your dads birthday (presumably) and can therefore look up his birth record. apply for his bith cert and it will contain the name of his father, his mother (and his mothers maiden name, if they were married), I assume your Mum and dad were married. their marriage cert will tell you the names of both their fathers and again your mothers maiden name jess |

can some one please help me i have been on this webb site for the past 2weeks and i have not added anyone to my tree as i keep hiting a brick wall all my dads side of the family come from springburn in glasgow me and my family had a big falling out so i cannot ask them for help |
