I was born and given for adoption in 1961 (also Hertfordshire as it happens) i went for a look about where she lived, picked on the nearest old looking neighbour and asked if she remembered her! anything is worth a try! You have your adotion file- her marital status etc should be recorded in there Jess |

Michael, Take Sylvia's name out of your request please- its not fair, anyone might know her, and your broadcasting her mis- adventure ( !) might cause upset. Right! Was she married at the time of your birth? Was your father named? Have you tried the address at which she was living when you were born? ( it worked for me!- she had moved, but a neighbour spilled the beans....) Did she keep the half sister? jess x |

Hi, can anyone help please?!! I was born in Luton in 1951 by the name of Micheal Davies and put up for adoption at 8 weeks. I have my birth certificate with my mother born in 1924 on it but don't know where to turn now. I also know that i have a half sister as I have my adoption file. Any ideas please? |
