Hi Jess - As you might have guessed I am still on the trail of the elusive Elizabeth Richards and Walter Richards. James Richards was the name given as father on Elizabeth's marriage certificate. I thought that if I could track down James Richards with either Elizabeth and Walter , it would indicate that they were siblings. Therefore the 3 children on the 1881 census were nephews and niece of Elizabeth and not her natural children, illegitimate or otherwise. As she was born in Lambeth ca1842 I thought that James might be found on the 1851/1861. No further info. to hand I'm afraid on James. Rita |
