am looking to buy some software to compile everyting on, rather than everything just on GR and wondered what anyone used and what was good. Thanks Ann

Ann, There are several @ £30, Family Tree Maker must rank as one of the best. It came out tops in a reveiw in issue 22 of Your Family Tree Other altenatives are Legacy, Rootsmagic, Family Historian, Family Tree Legends - all will have their fans. If you want to try something for free then you can download PAF5 from www.familysearch.org Cheers, Peter

thanks peter. Have found the 2005 version of family tree maker on the genalogy supplies site My History.co.uk will probably just get that and see how I get on.
