We have had a major breakthough. .......After buying a death certificate that just had.. Poland..as place of birth, we tried Army records and scored a hit. After sending documentation to prove our link and a fee, we have received paperwork with place of birth, parents' names including mother's maiden name, previous occupation, army record of service, religion, physical description PLUS a photograph....... So pleased, - and hope this might help someone to follow that line of research.

We have no birth certificate yet, just date from death certificate(UK) They were born in Poland but at least we now know where and parents' names so we have a lead, at last.
