Pippa, thank you so much for this site, I have just found a very detailed book about a 'Ship board Diary' written in 1863 by an ancester who went from England to Australia, which has loads of personal/family information in it, family information i would never find in libraries/archives etc. well done with your tip thank you again......Lilly

surname navigator site was helpful to me in the past it, opens about 10 sites at same time also for other countries it was a help when i was looking for my Italian family side Regards Christine

I was given the address of this website: www(.)surnamenavigator(.)org It seems to search a lot of linked databases on the internet at the same time so that you don't have to search individual sites. I am not sure how deeply sucessful it is as I have not tested it but I am sure you will all have fun finding out! Pippa
