The Buddies system is excellent, they knocked down my brickwall that had me stumped for years. The amount of information they emailed me was staggering, I'm still amazed. I have had a contact, but my 'lost cousin' and I had already had contact from GR. The more people who subscribe, the more contacts there will be. Kaye.

I added all my rellies to Lost Cousins about 6 months ago - not one single match :-( Hopefully if more people add details I may make some connections! Sam x

I just wanted to let everyone know about lostcousins.com Its similar to this in that you can search for living relatives, but the difference is (and they are both good in their own ways, neither is better than the other - I discovered my first living relative on here this morning) that you enter the census details for ALL you living relatives, cousins, aunts, etc etc from the 1881 census and it matches them for you. I found it in a magazine recently. They also have a 'buddying' system where if you are not getting any matches, or want to make sure you are giving yourself the best chance to find someone, you can email them and they will look at your entries and let you know what else to do, where to look etc. Direct ancestors are identified with Ahnentafel numbers - which I am now the queen of! Happy searching everyone.
