Any news on 1911 census release?

Apparently its in an awful state and just loose sheets of forms filled in by the householder. Remember the government just have to make it available after 100 years, they don't have to provide a census or make it easy for us! nell

I dont think I can wait 7 years but then again there are still elusive rellies to find on other census's.

Don't think there's any chance of this Jody. The government debated it last year and decided that it wouldn't be released early. Kath. x

I don't think it will be released early, we are going to have to wait until 2012. Apparently it is in such a bad state (pages missing/damaged etc) that even when it is released, many people will find that their relatives are 'missing'. Sam x

Does anyone know if there is any news on the release date on the 1911 census yet? I remember signing something about an early release but I have not kept up to speed with it all.
