If anyone is needing information on the mining community of Wardley Tyne and Wear, this is a great site. www.angeltowns.com/town/oldwardley/ There are many old photos on, some of which are my family, more to come, and there is a chat room too. Probably only of interest to us Northerners, unless your'e interested in social history too. |

Hi Anne I was born and brought up in Heworth!!! I went to school i went to school in Wardleyand have many happy memories and old friends there still!! Talk about small world!!
