We are going to a family reunion on Wednesday. (people we have never met)Can you help me work out relationship links (so many removed or 2nd or third). Here goes: what would my great nans sister have been to me and my mum?.....................what will my nan's first cousins be to me and my mum?.......................................and finally what would my nan's second cousins have been to me (by second cousins I mean my nan's cousins children)..................I feel confused myself now, Thanks to anyone who can help Denise. |

Your great nans sister would have been your mothers Great Aunt , Your GG Aunt ( i think) as for your 3rd request...too insignificant to have a label i should think!! |

Lets see, I've been on the wine (Oh, sorry is GR6 listening??) what would my great nans sister have been to me and my mum? To you: great-great aunt To your mum: great aunt what will my nan's first cousins be to me and my mum? To you: 1st cousin twice removed To your mum: 1st cousin once removed my nan's second cousins have been to me (by second cousins I mean my nan's cousins children).................. Your nans first cousins children would be 1st cousin once removed to your nan (ie not 2nd cousins at all lol) To you: 2nd cousin once removed To your mum: 2nd cousins But please don't worry about all this at your reunion otherwise you will get a headache (like I will have tomorrow!) And Jess your I took my message off to correct something and when I went back on to look, it had my corrected message at top where it should be.And the reply was my first message with your message in my box.Never had that before, then I e-mailed you so you could see and when I went back the message had gone.And no I haven't been drinking.
