Does anyone have any suggestions? In the 1881 census Hope Square Bedminster Somerset is given as the address of Francis Bailey and family. On my G Grandmothers marriage certificate Hope Square is given as her place of residence,22 years earlier in1859.how does one go about finding out who else has lived at that address. Maybe your g-grandmother's family were living there in 1861 if she married from the address? I could look, but you haven't given her name....do you know her parents names? I have 1851 for Hope Square if you need that (there are a lot of families though!). Sarah |

Apart from census checks every 10 years, you can check street directories and electoral rolls (though these will only have the householder or men eligible to vote up to the 20th century). nell |
