Glad that you got it sorted, Christina. Because DJVU isn't a standard file format, the normal printing option (via the file... print... menu) doesn't work. That's why it has its own print option on its toolbar. Don't blame old-age, it's not that obvious unless you know how these things work! Cheers, Richard |

Thank you both, after reading your answers I had a fiddle with the census sheet and managed to print it. I was going the wrong way about it. I hit file then print and it didnt work. I then hit the printer icon on the actual page and it worked, must be old age!! I knew I had done it previously and couldnt figure out why it wouldn't print. Thanks. |

You should be able to print directly from the DJVU image when it is loaded in your browser window. Of course, this assumes that you have a DJVU plug-in installed, which you must have in order to view this format of file in any case. Just click on the little printer icon on the DJVU toolbar when you have your DJVU file displayed. If this doesn't work, you can convert the file to JPG format (or indeed any other graphics format) - however, you'll need a conversion software program installed that can handle DJVU format. There are several free ones available - the one I use is Irfanview (http://www.irfanview*com) - for this you need to download the main software and also the 'ivformats.zip' plug-ins in order to read DJVU files (both are available from the above site). Christina If you use the save facility (top right) and place it in a selected folder it will save a copy as a JPEG. This can be printed without problems. Victor |
