Thank you for telling us Ann. I'll take a look when I'm down in that area.

On Saturday my daughter and I went to a lovely little museum. It is only open on Saturdays from 10 until 4. It is in the old fire station in the centre of West End near Eastleigh. We didn't have too much time but had a good look round and found some interesting info re my rellies who come from the area. It is volunteer run and the people are friendly and helpful. they have a copy of both the 1881 and the 1901, monumental inscriptions, historical knowledge on the area, lists of tithes, old maps and lots more. well worth a visit if you are in the area, especially if you are researching West End, Horton Heath, Fair Oak, Eastleigh, Bishopstoke, Bitterne.
