Thank you for that link. Don't know if/when I shall actually need it, but it's certainly interesting... if a little sad when you see how many are 'infant' deaths, or young chidren. http://www(.)gencem(.)org/resources(.)html The Friends of Sheffield General Cemetery site. Has database of the 1st 6000 burials 1836-1856, burial records contain the following info...... Year Grave Death Date Burial Date First Name Surname Age Residence Cause of Death Where and when born Parents Informant. Also has database of Plot Owners...plot and grave number..owners name.....number of burials.....and first and last burials. Fascinating reading even if they're not your rellies!!!!! Sarah xxx |
