Hi Nell I have not seen the 1851 census yet, when I last looked it was not available to buy on CD and I do not live near a record office to have a look. Their first son was born 29 April 1852 so it is possible they were married when that census took place. Debbie

Debbie Have looked on 1837 between Jan 1848 and Dec 1853 and there is no listing of Jane Davison from Derbyshire. There is one record in Mar 1850 for a Jane Davison where the district, vol and page are unreadable, but there is not a Thomas Marshall to match that quarter from Derbyshire. Victor
