subscription query on norton

hi, my subscription ran out on norton on 6th july, i've just checked it again and i'm ok untill 8/7/2006, but i have'nt paid it!! would they just take it out of my bank without my consent? i've checked my bank and nothing has been taken out by them, if they do take it i think they have a damn cheek cos i have'nt said i want it renewed! can i get it back if they take it later on or can i stop them somehow? i don't want it renewed! chris.

when I had norton I renewed it online and paid then, they can only take it from your bank if you have agreed to it . Anyway why dont you use AVG instead its free and much better its on the grisoft site

Chris How did you pay originally? If you used a credit card it's quite possible they may have automatically taken it again - like Ancestry do. Think they are supposed to give you something like 14 days notice though. Cheers Kate.

val, i was going to go for AVG, kate, i paid through my bank last time as i couldn't do it on my card, i don't understand why they have renewed it, nothing has been taken out of my bank! i keep checking! is there any way i can get intouch with them? chris.

Chris, hiya. Yea mine is due soon, Sept, as a matter of fact. I emailed DUBLIN Office and they sent me a lot of info, as I didnt want to use my credit card to pay. One thing they told me, if you bought it from a PC WORLD then you can go back them and get an upgrade for much cheaper that normal but you must take with you the CD together with the serial number and the code. Other than that, you can download it from their web site and pay by credit, which I dont want to do, as I dont trust anyone to get my details. You can get their DUBLIN Office address and their email off GOOGLE. TED.
