Glad it worked. Haveyou downloaded the Zonealarm firewall aswell? You may find you will have to disable the Zonealarm email scanning facility as AVG7 already has one.

Sorry for taking so long getting back, i have downloaded the AVG antivirus and its spent the last 90 mins cleaning the computer i did have a virus, i think it was called TROJAN HORSE (makes sense)but hopefully everything is ok now, Judy i was to late getting back to take your advise, but thanks anyway.... MOE!

Moe... If you can manage to download and install the AVG program start your PC in SAFE MODE and then let AVG scan your PC (while in safe mode.) Directions on how to start in safe mode are on the TIPS board, thread '1 Stop Routine PC Maintenance' - page 1. Judy

Mo, you can download AVG7 antivirus software free from the grisoft web site. Also you can get Zonealarm firewall as a free download for personal use. As far as I can make out they are as good if not better than the paid for ones. I dumped my paid for Mcafee for AVG7

Moe You realy need something like Nortons Anti VIsus software, what you have will not stop viruses getting on to you PC. PC World have a deal on it at the moment. I am not saying that you have a virus, but it is a possibility. Victor

Victor, i have ad-aware which i can clean the site myself but my cyber patrol has expired a few days ago, do you think its that, i thought that was just to stop the kids going were they shouldn't MOE!

Every time i try to view a census page on 1837online it comes up FATAL ERROR and my computer crashes, what is wrong, do i have to wait to get it fixed which could take weeks and my units might run out, i have been on the website for months and this has never happened before, i also noticed i have been getting pop-ups on this site , this has never happened before do you think i am being invaded and should watch using my credit card online? PLEASE ADVISE!!! MOE!
