I have '1 new message' showing when I log in, it has been there since early June, I can't find a message or get rid of announcement. Have contacted GR twice, but have had no answer. JJ

I haven't had that problem at all. It should disappear once you have clicked on it, read the message and then click on something else on the site (like the message boards). Can't think why it is still there if you've done all that. Kath. x

Hi I have clicked on it, gone to contact centre, no unread messages that I can find there. If there ae new messages then it is updated to 2 or 3 new messages. Then goes back to one, when I have read the new ones. JJ

Hi I have the same problem and have contacted GR twice now and no response. If I knew there was no message and it was just a mistake then I would be fine but how do you know that you haven't missed a message. Emma

The other thing is that I don't know if they have fixed it and there is a new message, so I click on it every time. JJ (PS it is still there)

yes i have that problem as well i thought it was just me i have tried the same clicking on it nothing happensif i have 2 messages come up there is only one and the other one stays on hilda martin

Glad its not me going daft, I tried everywhere looking for this message, until I decided it was not there at all. Still there today (reported June 6th to GR) Janet

Sorry if I am insulting anyone, but do you mean the 'messages' on the names summary list? As they are just general ones on the name board, not personal ones for you. The personal ones come up in the left hand light coloured box that has Welcome back xxxxxxxxx Full member til xxxxxxxxx and then messages. It is there that you get contact messages. As I say sorry if you are aware of this, but I know sometime back someone else raised that question and that was the problem.

Hi again Yes it is in the light coloured box between 'Member until ....' and 'My account details' Clicking on it takes me to my contact centre, where there are no unread messages. JJ
