Rita, just to say that freebmd and ancestry have same, incomplete info. For the period 1866-1920 familyrelatives.org is brilliant, you can search by name, area and span of time. Though it is pay to view, well worth it. If you have an unusual name (like yours) you can just enter that with all areas and all dates and the whole lot will come up for that name.

Caroline - That is wonderful - if it is my 'gal' I shall be more than chuffed especially as she didn't show on freebmd. Family folklore has a lot to answer for. Grateful thanks Rita

Can anyone find the GRO for the following person. I have looked on the microfiche at local FHS but couldn’t find it, but I could have missed it as viewers not very good, and I go boss-eyed after searching a few years. Bridget Prendeville/Prendiville – aged 49 on 1901 census. She would have died in the London area but conflicting stories as to exactly where. Family history said she died 1914/16 but I couldn’t find any ref. I trawled through to 1920 on the michrofiche but nothing. She is the only one on entire family grouping that I haven’t traced, from birth to death. Here’s hoping. Rita
