Well it was officially Humberside from 1974 until April 1, 1996, so I guess that since the database runs from 1984 to 2002, for the majority of that time then Humberside would be correct.

Ok I found it now! It's under Humberside. WE HAVE BEEN EAST YORKSHIRE FOR AGES NOW. AND WHAT'S MORE, WE'VE NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED HUMBERSIDE And yes I am shouting! lol

Have you noticed on Ancestry's England and Wales Civil Registration Death Indexes 1984 - 1992 and 1993 - 2000, East Yorkshire doesn't exist? Do I assume that they haven't transcribed these yet? Every other county seems to be there - unless you know better! Jeanette x
