Hi I've recently found out my grandparents names but heard that my gran had died in the last few years. She lived in Birmingham, how can I find out if she's still alive or not? Don't know where in Birmingham they live(d). Surname isnt very common if that makes any difference Leanne x

Ancestry have deaths up to part way into 2002, so if you know her name at death, you could post it here..... If she isn't on that, then 1837online have a bit more 0 up to 2003, from memory..... After that?? Not sure..... Sarah

Hi The only Mary Breckenridge that comes up is this one: WENDY MARY BRECKENRIDGE Death Year: 1999 Age: 60 Birth Date: 28 Mar 1939 Death Registration Month/Year: Sep/99 Registration District: Hitchin and Stevenage Inferred County: Hertfordshire Register Number: 8C Entry number: 190 Don't know if that's the right one or not, as Sarah says, Ancestry only goes up to 2002 so if she died after that, she won't appear. Maybe you need to try 1837online? I woud start at the beginning of 2002 and come forward, as, though 2002 is SUPPOSED to be on Ancestry, there seem to be very few records for it. Good Luck Sarah
