District of Musselburgh,E Lothian....is it Stenley,stedey ? would be grateful for help. regards Rosalie

are you sure it is not Stenton, East Lothian. Mussleburgh is in Midlothian not East Lothian

Hi Siobhan. It is Carberry Farm, Stendey? Musselburgh.M Lothian so it looks like the name of a suburb. sorry looked again and is M Lothian..regards |Rosalie

I think the actual transcription is Carberry Farm Steading, Musselburgh, Midlothian. Steading is not the name of a place, but relates to the actual farm. Steading means the following: (n.) The brans, stables, cattle-yards, etc., of a farm; -- called also onstead, farmstead, farm offices, or farmery.
