are you sure it is not Stenton, East Lothian. Mussleburgh is in Midlothian not East Lothian |

Hi Siobhan. It is Carberry Farm, Stendey? Musselburgh.M Lothian so it looks like the name of a suburb. sorry looked again and is M Lothian..regards |Rosalie |

I think the actual transcription is Carberry Farm Steading, Musselburgh, Midlothian. Steading is not the name of a place, but relates to the actual farm. Steading means the following: (n.) The brans, stables, cattle-yards, etc., of a farm; -- called also onstead, farmstead, farm offices, or farmery. |
