	You also need to equate the fact that if she was young or un - married she may have done so. Give me a bit more idea about the circumstances surrounding your birth and maybe we'll be able to suggest something Jess

	Hi Debbie As far as I can remember--I went through this 20 years ago-your first port of call is the adoption society who arranged your adoption and then the social services in that area.After that I joined Norcap who proved very helpful. There are loads of threads on the board on this subject. Good luck with your search. I've never regreted doing mine.

	HELP.... I don't seem to be thick but I am new to this. My birth mothers address is on my birth cert., oviously after 40 years she does not live there anymore, but how or what do I look at, to find where she moved to from that address to the next address. Please help. Thank you.
