Cause of death help please

I'm away for the week and haven't got my useful websites notebook with me. Received a death cert stating she died of Chronic Nephritis. She died in the Hospital for Infectious Diseases so sounds nasty. Any ideas? Thanks

I just Googled and it seems to be the inflamation of the kidney, broadly speaking Jeanette x

Nephritis - Nephritis is an older term used to clinically denote a child with hypertension, decreased renal function, hematuria, and edema.

Nephritis still means kidney disease - chronic means long stannding and is the opposite of acute.
