im hoping to possibly find either a fathers name as none was listed on the birth cert, or perhaps some more info on the mother. Everything keeps going back to the LMA so i think im going to have to make the trip up there at some point

According to this website (lots of info about the workhouse) - remove * first and replace with . http://users*ox*ac*uk/~peter/workhouse/Willesden/Willesden.html the records are in the London Metropolitan Archives. So you would need to plan a trip there and go through the microfilm. Of course, its possible that the child was baptised in a nearby church, but the records should still be at the LMA. nell

Hi Robyne Don't feel dumb. We all started somewhere. I learn something new all the time on here. What information where you hoping to find from the baptism? You will generally find that there is more information given on a birth certificate. Jeanette x

I would like to find the baptism, if there was one, for a child born in the Willesden Workhouse aka Twyford Lodge in 1916/17 (born may 1916). Where am i likely to find this information. Ive tried looking for parish regs but there doesnt appear to be any for Willesden in either middlesex or london. Help Please!!
