This is probably obvious to you, but wasn't to a friend of mine who made a hash of a similar situation!! (NO it wasn't me!!) When you have found your additional pages, buy more than you need...... Write them up BEFORE you stick them in the Bible - so if you make a mistake you can begin again and don't have to ''phone a friend'' in a panic to ask how to unstick the glue lol Last one is personal preference: Maybe use a fountain pen/pen and ink NOT biro - proper ink looks much nicer (and choose a complimentary colour)! Practice first. Good Luck - You are really lucky to have this wonderful opportunity to add to your family history of the future......! Best Wishes Sarah |

I would email some of the genealogy supplies sites with this query. Obviously you want the right paper and the right way of fixing it and they should know. |

Hi Cha cha Do you have a local GOOD bookshop? Antiquebook shop is probably the best to give you advice. Maybe even the local library. There's always the Bargain Hunt/Antique road show pages on the BBC web site, you could e-mail them. Ann x |

I have just been given the privilege of adding information to the family bible... But there are no spaces left on the fore-pages to add any names - my grandfather added names on the back of the sheets. I do recall that you can buy pages for bibles - pages that you can glue/stick into the front so more names can be added. Much as I am very adept at googling I can't seem to find exactly what I want... any ideas of specialist places I can look? If its of any consequence...I live in the south of England, and any buying I do will probably be online. Thanks in advance Cha. |
