My great grandad John Henry Paul born 1840 westminster was an author and journalist he wrote about the big criminal cases in old Bailey even in his seventies. He was a freelance journalist at one time and also owned a paper at one time.My question being can anybody point me in the right direction to find out for instance which paper he wrote for or owned? Is there a way of finding out more about journalists? Any help would be appreciated Regards Christine |

Don't know if this will help, but try googling National Union of Journalists. I had a 2 x Gt Uncle who was made a life member of the NUJ and found out that he had in fact written and produced an in-house weekly newspaper for the Co-op!!! An Olde Crone |
